Morris Chair

This style of "recliner" is named after William Morris, but was designed by his friend Philip Webb in 1865.  This one was made from quartersawn English Oak and stained with Van Dyke crystals, (made from walnut shells).  The arrangement of slats on the side of the chair comes from a Japanese design; the fabric is a Morris original.
