Jeff Hilton grew up in a house full of Nakashima furniture.  (His parents discovered him before he was famous and purchased 20+ pieces on two teachers' salaries!)  When the Hiltons  commissioned me to build 3 tables for their new home, my challenge was to maintain Nakashima's grace and spirit, yet pull the style out of the mid-century.
