A few months  before I was asked to build this, a neighbouring farmer asked me to repair an old ginny rake (see image below).  Later, when I was commissioned to adapt the famous Gimson Hayrake Table from the Bedales School Library (below), I knew exactly how to construct it.  It is made from quartersawn English Oak.
